Child car seat transfers across Sydney. If your question is not here, email info@bubbaseat.com.
We provide the seat. Every booking includes a child car seat already fitted in the vehicle when the driver arrives, so there is nothing to carry, install, or collect afterwards. You choose the seat type for each child while booking, and the driver fits it before pickup.
Four types, matched to age: rear-facing capsules for 0 to 6 months, rear-facing seats for 6 months to 4 years, forward-facing seats for 4 to 8 years, and boosters for 8 to 14 years. You pick a type for each child during booking, and the driver fits those seats before arriving.
Yes. Every seat meets AS/NZS 1754, the Australian and New Zealand standard for child restraints that NSW law requires for children travelling in a vehicle. Seats are checked as part of driver approval and fitted before each trip.
No. The driver installs the seat before pickup and checks it before the vehicle moves. You buckle your child in; the fitting itself is already done, including at the end of a trip when you are collected.
Up to three children per booking, and the booking form lets you choose a seat type for each of them. Seat combinations depend on the vehicle assigned, so bookings for three children are matched to a vehicle that can take three restraints.
Yes. Every driver holds a current Working With Children Check, and their licence, vehicle registration and insurance are verified before they can accept any booking. BubbaSeat operates under NSW Authorised Booking Service Provider licence BSP-463195, issued by the NSW Point to Point Transport Commissioner.
No. Airport runs are one part of the service, and the rest is everyday travel around Sydney: a cafe meet-up, a playgroup session, lunch across the Inner West, or the trip home afterwards. Every booking includes a child car seat fitted before the driver arrives, whatever the reason for the trip.
Yes, booked as two trips: one out and one back. Each trip is priced on its own at $50 for the first 10 km and $3.80 per kilometre after that, so you are not paying for a driver to wait while you eat. Book the return leg once you know what time you want to leave.
Book a transfer and leave your car where it is. The seat your child needs is fitted before the driver arrives, so nobody is moving a capsule or booster between cars at the end of the night. Seats cover newborns in rear-facing capsules through to 8 to 14 year olds in boosters.
Yes. Weekday trips to playgroup, mother's group and similar meet-ups are booked the same way as any other trip. If more than one child is travelling, you choose a seat type for each child during booking, and all the seats are fitted before pickup.
We cover the Sydney metropolitan area, with the day-to-day service centred on the Inner West. Longer trips run to the Blue Mountains, Central Coast and Wollongong. Fares are $50 for the first 10 km and $3.80 per kilometre after that, with estimated tolls included in the quoted price.
Yes, both the international and domestic terminals, for arrivals and departures. The child seat is fitted before pickup, so you are not carrying a capsule or booster through the terminal. For international pickups and drop-offs we recommend booking 24 hours ahead.
Pickup at T1 International is the Rideshare zone, which is separate from the rank used by other operators. From the Arrivals Hall, follow the signs past the P7 car park towards Centre Road. Exact directions are emailed to you before your flight.
Pickup at T2 and T3 Domestic is the Priority Pick-up area. This is not the Qantas valet area, which serves a different set of operators. Exact directions are emailed to you before your flight.
Contact us by email or phone once you land, and the driver enters the pickup area then. We ask for your flight number when you book so the trip can be matched to your flight, and no waiting fee is charged for a delay.
Fares start at $50, which covers the first 10 kilometres, then $3.80 per kilometre after that. Estimated tolls for your route are included in the figure shown before you pay. Pickups from Sydney Airport add a $5.92 airport access fee, which is what the airport charges the vehicle for entering the pickup area and is passed on at cost; airport drop-offs do not attract it. The full fare, itemised, appears on screen before any payment is taken.
At least one hour ahead, which the booking form enforces by not accepting earlier times. For international airport pickups and drop-offs, 24 hours' notice is recommended so a suitable vehicle and seat combination can be arranged.
Yes. Estimated tolls are calculated for your route and included in the fare shown before payment, so the price you see is the price you pay. If the trip does not incur the tolls estimated, the toll portion is refundable on request.
By card at the time of booking, processed through Stripe. The full fare is shown before payment is taken, and no account or sign-up is required to book.
If no driver accepts your booking within 2 hours of payment, the booking is cancelled automatically and refunded in full to the card you paid with, and you are emailed to say no driver was available for that date and time. Refunds reach your account in 5 to 10 business days. To cancel a booking yourself, contact us at bookings@bubbaseat.com.
No. BubbaSeat does not currently operate wheelchair accessible vehicles. The service is built around child car seat transfers, and drivers use standard passenger cars fitted with child restraints.
Yes. BubbaSeat holds Authorised Booking Service Provider licence BSP-463195, issued by the NSW Point to Point Transport Commissioner. That licence covers arranging bookings between passengers and drivers, and carries safety obligations set under the NSW Point to Point Transport (Passenger Services) Act.
